Michael Mazier is a fintech entrepreneur and blockchain advisor with more than 15 years of experience at Wall Street banks and prior work experience in aerospace engineering and artificial intelligence research. He is founder of Bondirectly, a peer-to-peer bond trading platform and has advised blockchain companies such as Lampix, an augmented reality firm that raised $14.2 million in a crowdsource crypto-token sale, and Opiria, a German-based market research company. Michael was co-founder at LendingCalc, a peer-to-peer marketplace loan analytics firm. Michael previously was chief quantitative strategist at Van Eck Global, where he managed $5 billion in exchange-traded funds, and advised on hedge fund manager selection. He was also a bond analyst and information technology manager and analytics developer at Morgan Stanley, closed-end fund analyst at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch and product manager at Citibank. He began his career as an electrical engineer, designing hardware and software for communication satellites at General Electric.
Michael has an MBA from Columbia Business School, MS in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University and BS in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University and is a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society.
